Safety first
- Never leave a candle burning unattended.
- Never leave candles burning around pets or kids
- Don’t place candles on combustible surfaces.
- Burn candles in a draft free area away from anything that could fall into the candle.
- Trim the wick to .5 cm before EVERY BURN
- Only burn your candle for 2-4 hours at a time MAX
- Do not burn to the bottom of the vessel. Always allow 1cm of wax to remain. Burning too low can cause glass to crack or shatter.
- Use a wick dipper if you have one to extinguish your candle. Gently push the wick down into the melt pool and straighten it up afterwards. This helps stop smoking after extinguishing the flame. It also helps protect your wick.
- If your wick looks messy trim it to about .5 cm. Its not uncommon for have a mushroom type thing on the end. If it does just trim it.
- Don’t place your candle in direct sunlight, it makes them discolor. It won’t affect your burn but it may make your candle ugly.
White frosting, blemishes, uneven top, parts that look wet or perhaps not quite stuck to the side of the glass are nothing to worry about. Your candle is a one of a kind and these are characteristics of soy candles and can be caused by melt temperatures, pouring temperatures and even the temperature of the glass. None of these things will affect your burn but they are all part of soy candle characteristics. Many people try to eliminate it but I don’t.
Warmers & Touch Warmers
Our warmers are a great way to fragrance your home, flame free. There are things to remember
Touch Lamp Warmer
Remove warmer from box, be sure to remove all polystyrene, plastic & paper from inside and around the unit. Check inside too.
Place warmer in preferred location, away from flammable objects such as clothing, bedding or window dressings.
Plug the warmer into the power point nearest the unit. We do not recommend using double adaptors.
Turn the unit on at the wall switch
For touch warmers please note the extra guidelines
Level 1 Touch once anywhere on the base or the warmer cover to turn on. Can be left on all day on the lowest setting. Suitable for melts or a lamp that can run all day.
Level 2 Touch again for more light/heat.
Level 3 Touch again for highest setting. Do not use for long periods or leave unattended as they do get very warm. This setting is for fast heat up of melts but please turn it down!
Place your melt in the glass cup provided and position in the cradle. Wax will turn to liquid. To change melts wait for it to fully melt and tip into the bin.
Any touching of the warmer or cord while plugged in may turn the unit on or off. Bear this in mind if you have pets or kids who touch.
To change the globe, unplug from power, remove outer cover gently. Grasp the globe in a tissue and pull. The globe will pull out easily. Repeat the process in reverse to install new globe.
